This is a list of my favorite helpful sites for career assistance:

  • The University of Alabama Career Center is a great tool to facilitate employment for UA students and alumni.  Services include: mock interviews, resume critique, grad school prep, job search strategies, and many more.
  • Linkedin is the largest professional network with over 400 million members in over 200 countries.  Make sure you include a professional image with your profile to make the most of this networking site.
  • Indeed has over 16 million job postings because it is a job aggregate and pulls postings from many sites and sources.  Here you can browse jobs and post your resume.
  • StartJobs.net is another great job search instrument. What sets this site apart from others and makes it perfect for college grads is that you can search for jobs by university.
  • Career builder is also a very practical job search site.  It has a fantastic feature called “Recommendations” that recommends jobs for you based on past searches.
